Editorial Analysis

The EU's mandatory organic certification standard, regulated by Regulation (EU) 2018/848. The green Euro Leaf logo must appear on all pre-packaged organic food sold in the EU. Does not address animal testing in cosmetics. Does not certify vegan status — organic livestock products are fully permitted. Very commonly mistaken for a vegan or health certification.
